This week for the One Room Challenge I'm talking ART for Liv's Big Girl Room. I have decided to go with a big galley wall because I have tons of excess art I need to place and I think it will be light, bright and cheery for her.
She told me she wanted 'Colorful Horns' so I grabbed these fallow deer horns and painted them.
I also thought it would be fun to do a version of the 'Livingston Family Crest' for her so I did this watercolor inspired by Liv.
When I was in first grade, my painting was selected to be made into greeting cards for Scottish Rite Children's Hospital in Atlanta. The proceeds went to the hospital, and they did so well that they printed them several years in a row. I have been searching high and low for one of the cards, and my Grandmother recently sent me one her friend had saved. So I will frame that for the wall.
There is tons more art coming along for the room. As always, my amazing friends over at Bennett's Gallery are framing them up for me!
Next week we will talk about the Gallery Wall Taking Shape!!
