Angel Collage, Number Eight

Late every year, I create angels.  And every year, I like to be inspired in a fresh way.  

In early October, I spent a wonderful week in Paris and took the train to Giverny, which was the home of impressionist painter Claude Monet. To visit his gardens and studio has been a dream of mine since the 4th grade, and I was absolutely overwhelmed in the most wonderful way. 

And my art history loving heart was set on seeing the Sainte-Chapelle, the most incredible feat of stained glass, on the Ile de Saint Louis in Paris.  It blew me away visually: the colors of the angels wings at the alter were the starting place for these creations. 

I hope you enjoy the floral elements, the colorful wing featuring bits and bobs of papers collected along the way, and the beautiful French handmade papers the angels are on this year. 

Each angel measures 9 x 12 inches and comes on handmade French pressed papers.
