Boston Black Book

My husband and I took a short trip to Boston before heading over to Martha's Vineyard for the week.  I have been coming to Boston my entire life, my sweet Auntie lives in the city and we have always enjoyed visiting with her. Here is a quick run down of my 'must-sees' in Bean town.  The Clarendon Square Bed & Breakfast - view from our room My Aunt used to own a Bed and Breakfast one street over, so this feels really comfortable and familiar... but way more swanky.  Stephen and Bobby do it right: comfy, well appointed rooms, with a killer breakfast.  Be sure to check out the rooftop for an amazing view and sip your latte in the garden...

New Things in the Works

I sometimes think its interesting to see what artists are working on.  Currently, I'm taking the rest of the month of July to work on a series based around my town of Greenville, South Carolina.   All of these photos were taken by my super talented, wonderful friend, Kim Gibson.  She has such an elegant approach to photography, don't you think?  Plein Air Painting is such a pleasure, but is hard for me to squeeze in these days.  This morning was crisp and cool, and the Liberty Bridge in Downtown Greenville, SC is always a great subject to paint.  I hope to have a solid body of work inspired by Greenville by the month, so stay tuned!
