My brother, Heys, and his lovely wife, Lucy, were married in May in a small family celebration. Everything about the wedding totally embodied them: it was laid back, family-filled, and love filled.
For the rehearsal dinner, my Mom and sister searched high and low for masculine but appropriate (classic, design oriented, handsome) invitations and found they could not source what was in mind. So I offered to create an invitation that included the couples beloved dog, Penny. The invitations also had elements of Spode's Woodland motif on them since we used the tableware for the rehearsal dinner.
I sometimes think its interesting to see what artists are working on. Currently, I'm taking the rest of the month of July to work on a series based around my town of Greenville, South Carolina. All of these photos were taken by my super talented, wonderful friend, Kim Gibson. She has such an elegant approach to photography, don't you think? Plein Air Painting is such a pleasure, but is hard for me to squeeze in these days. This morning was crisp and cool, and the Liberty Bridge in Downtown Greenville, SC is always a great subject to paint.
