This week I'm painting Liv's Bedroom for The One Room Challenge. I decided to go with something a little outside the box that would work with the purples and pinks she wants in her room and have landed on Mint Green. Here are some of my inspiration photos I grabbed from the internet: Once I land on a color, I typically will get out my swatch book (I'm a loyal Sherwin Williams devotee) and pick out a few mint colors that are contenders. Once I had the sample paints in hand, I painted the walls with the colors, let them dry, and analyzed them in different lights (morning, midday, evening) and made my decision. I have enjoyed doing the One Room Challenge, because it helps me get rooms done completely instead of opting to do a little moment of one room, a little moment of another. Since we moved, I am working on my upstairs first. Last spring, I worked on my Baby's Nursery and last fall, I designed my bedroom. This spring, I am working on my daughter, Liv's room. She currently has her crib, no art, and a single dresser in her room. Since she's almost three years old, I am going for a 'big girl' room design, and hoping we can keep it as it is for a few more years. This is all that is going on right now... so...
